  1. I really love putting up our outdoor Christmas decorations. We usually spend all day putting up all the lights etc., then head into the house for hot chili that’s been slow cookin’ in the crock all day. yummmm.

  2. growing up we always played Monopoly on New Year’s Eve. that’s my favorite tradition and I hope to carry it on with my kids someday.

  3. My favorite holiday tradition is having all the relatives getting together sharing stories of what has been happening with them and then having a meal together. Laughter and good people, can’t get any better than that!

  4. We put out our christmas tree, decorate it and turn on the christmas music so we all can sing long together. Thanks for this chance.

  5. My favorite holiday tradition is not eating meat all day on Christmas Eve and then having a sausage and pepper sandwich at midnight 🙂

  6. I just love going as a family to pick out our Christmas tree – the smell of the pine needles, the atmosphere of excitement and anticipation…..brilliant!

  7. I LOVE wrapping presents – I get so much pleasure out of making the parcels look perfect – the bows sitting “just so” and everything being all festive and just begging to be opened.

  8. Spending Christmas Day at the beach relaxing and enjoying carefree time as a family. We then always have an early barbecue on the beach with the kids – so many special holiday memories were made of this!

  9. It would have to be my darling mum’s signature Christmas dessert of strawberry, rhubarb and orange compote with crushed meringues and vanilla bean gelato. Christmas is quite simply never complete without it.

  10. My family loves to decorate the tree together – listening to Christmas carols and remembering each ornament as it is placed on the tree

  11. Christmas Eve is my favourite….a laid back evening with just the 3 generational family…delicious appetizers and snacks, rather than a heavy meal and a time to just savour. Two excited grandsons and snuggles over traditional books make it for me!

  12. My favorite holiday tradition is that my Christmas tree ornaments date back to the year my mother-in-law was pregnant with my husband. Each year since then she has gifted him (and now myself and her grandchildren) with a new ornament. My tree is full of sweet memories. When my children become adults, and leave home, they will take their “starter set” of ornaments with them.

  13. Baking Christmas cookies is my favorite thing to do along, until the kids get a little older. Decorating the house for Christmas is my favorite thing to do as a family.

  14. can’t wait to put the tree up, make a wreath, make a gingerbread house and some mince pies, wrap all the pressies and then sit back and enjoy a glass of bubbles with my hubby!

  15. Our favorite tradition is going to Salt Lake city and visiting the Temple Square and seeing the lights there! Beautiful!

  16. My favorite holiday tradition is baking cookies with my mom and sisters. We have been doing it since I was a little girl, and now my daughters get to join in, too.

  17. My favorite tradition is sharing time with my extended family. We all gather around the fire and share what’s been significant about the past year and what we’re looking forward to in the coming year. (Most of us live out of state, so it’s great to catch up in that way. It’s also very personal, and there are usually lots of tears and laughs.)
