Recipe: Sparkling Apple Cider Champagne Spritzers

This sparkling cocktail captures all the beautiful flavors of winter! Swoon party guests at your holiday party with this festive cocktail.

 32 ounces fresh pressed apple cider
 2 whole anise pods
 1 cinnamon stick
 1 tbsp fresh ginger, coarsely chopped
 24 ounces your favorite dry Champagne (or Prosecco)
For garnish
 chopped apples
 cinnamon sticks

In a saucepan bring the cider to a simmer with the anise, cinnamon, and ginger. Cook for 15-20 minutes. Remove from the heat and strain out any solids.

Chill the spiced cider until cold. Pour some cider into Champagne flutes, top with cold Champagne. Garnish with some apples and a cinnamon stick.
