Think green!! This healthy pasta dish will knock your socks off! If you love pesto as much as I do then dig in….
This Spinach Pesto Pasta is the most perfect family meal. Great for lunch & dinner & delish for lunch boxes!
How was your weekend? Ours was amazing! I was in Vail & Beaver Creek with my pals after doing TV segments in Denver, NYC & a Skype interview on Headline News. It was busy, super charged & loads of fun!
We had fun watching the Ski Championships & drinking lots of vino. Then I came back to Telluride to be with my family (missed them like crazy!) Phew! I’ve been cooking all day & enjoying every minute of it! I’ve been craving pesto like crazy lately ~ so this was the first dish I whipped up.
There’s something about the slightly warmer weather (it needs to snow here desperately) that makes me crave a fresh pesto sauce. Orecchiette is one of may favorite pasta shapes. Its easy to cook al dente & it holds sauce so nicely. What’s your favorite pasta shape?
In this pesto I combined baby spinach, parmesan cheese, garlic, olive oil & pecans. Simple to get ingredients.
Whiz it up in your food processor or blender. Season with salt & pepper to taste. Pesto is that easy to prepare friends!
Enjoy!

Thank goodness for simple & healthy meals!! The busy makes it hard to spend too much time in the kitchen. Thankfully home the next few weeks!
There’s so much I love about this recipe. Everything! Pinned.
Thank you so much Jennie!

Your recipe is cause for serious pasta cravings!
Hi Robyn! So true, I can’t leave this alone after I make it
TV segments in Denver, NYC & a Skype interview on Headline News?! Your weekend sounds fabulous! love spinach pesto!! I make it all the time because sometimes it’s easier getting my hands on some baby spinach. I can find it year round and for a better price than fresh basil!
Alice, you are so right! Here in Telluride it can be very tricky to get my hands on fresh basil. The spinach is a win all around!
Fabulous colour! And yummy comfort food for this cold weather.
This looks like just my style! YUM.
Is there such a thing as MOL? As in Mmmm out loud? Because if there is, I just did that! This looks so good right now. Just what I need to get me through these last few frosty weeks of winter.
LOVE it Kate! Think that will become my go-to phrase too!
Congrats on all your TV segments and your Headline interview That’s awesome!! Love this pesto pasta idea – healthy and easy.
Thanks Jeanette! It’s been a FUN whirlwind!!
This looks so great! I am always looking for new ways to eat my greens, and combining them with pasta seems like the best possible way.

Love pesto pasta! This looks amazing!
In your ingredient list, how much pecans? It just says “1/3”
1/3 cup. Thanks for bringing my attention to that!
I love pesto pasta and this has to be one of the best ones I have seen. Just divine!
That looks so good– I love pestos. I’ve never made a pesto with pecans before– sounds like a great twist!
So bright and fresh! Beautiful color too! It sounds like you have been very busy recently!
Totally making this with my gluten-free pasta. Awesome, Marla! xox
