I’m still dreaming about my March trip to St. Moritz, nestled in the Engadine region of the Swiss Alps. During my week there I was greeted with the warmest hospitality while on the slopes, in the restaurants, shopping for the latest fashions and in the hotels! The 5 star Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains is exactly what this mountain princess craves when searching for authentic, old world charm and comfort.
The Kempinski is know for it’s top notch service and well appointed rooms and suites. There are also luxury residences on the property. As the name implies this is certainly a Grand Hotel with plentiful space to spread out with 184 rooms and suites. There are also 27 luxury residences on the property.
My room was very well stocked as you can see here….
There are four gourmet restaurants and the most wonderfully relaxing Kempinski The Spa. I’ve never seen a spa like this which offers all the treatments you can imagine and a giant assortment of wet and dry saunas, steam rooms and bath options. A mecca for the spa enthusiast. There is also a gorgeous pool for laps or more chill time.
The hotel is situated right in the heart of the town, with easy access to hundreds of miles of slopes to play on! It’s also right on the Lake St. Moritz, a place to take beautiful winter strolls & home of the famous White Turf Horse Races.
Check out the restaurant options here, something for everyone!
Restaurant Les Saisons: Award-winning breakfast and the best steaks from around the world.
Restaurant Enoteca: Pampers its guests with regional and modern-inspired cuisine.
Sra Bua: Pan-Asian cuisine, sushi and the best sake in the world.
Cà d’Oro: The gourmet restaurant will enchant you with the highest Mediterranean cuisine.
Kempinski Bar and Lobby: The selection of rarities is by far the best Switzerland has to offer and the champagne is always chilled to perfection.
I experienced a wonderful meal at the Kempinski Bar and Lobby my first night there, a steak tartar salad that was mouthwatering delicious! The breakfast in the Restaurant Les Saisons is famous for so m many reasons! It’s served in a grand dining room and the buffet options are endless, well procured and displayed so beautifully. A great way to fuel up if you are skiing, hiking, kite surfing or enjoying any active time in the mountains.
I had a very special dining experience at he Restaurant Enoteca. This place is for Italian food lovers (I don’t know anyone who isn’t!) They served me a tasting dinner complete with gorgeous champagne and wines paired with each course. Ingredients are sourced local and imported directly from Italy. The interior of the restaurant is breathtaking! Very elegant and memorable to celebrate a special night with your true loves.
Meanwhile in my room I was treated to all kinds of goodies including this traditional Engadine Nut Tart (Engadine Nusstorte) and a savvy social media cake!
Right outside the hotel was this adorable pop up Masion Veuve Clicquot bar. How cute is that?! No luxury opportunities missed in St. Moritz!
