Recipe: Blueberry Basil Moscow Mules

 1 cup frozen or fresh blueberries
 1 tablespoon maple syrup, honey or sugar if desired to sweeten
 Small handful of fresh basil leaves
 1 1/2 ounces vodka
 ginger beer
 Squeeze of fresh lime juice
 crushed ice
For garnish:
 Fresh blueberries
 Lime wedge
 Basil sprig

Bring blueberries to boil with 1/4 cup of water and fresh basil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook about 6 minutes, or until blueberries have made a nice purple syrup. Mash blueberries against side of pan to release juices.Strain over a bowl.

Add vodka, lime juice and ginger beer to a chilled copper mug. Add crushed ice. Pour some blueberry/basil juice on top. Give a quick mix. Serve with garnishes.
