Fall fashion is all about layers, prints and lots of fun. After just visiting Paris I’m completely inspired to add some new things to my wardrobe. I’ve been looking forward to sharing these trends with you. Each of these key pieces I saw over and over again, put together in all kinds of fabulous ways! There are many good reasons why Paris is the fashion capital of the world….
Having a few key pieces on hand will have you ready to hit the streets in style. These are some of my favorites, but if you head online and to brick and mortar boutiques you can find versions of these at any price point. I would love to know your favorite trends too, leave your ideas in the comments.
Printed Silk Scarf Hermes
The long and short of it is that scarves are cool. Knotted at the neck silk scarves used to be reserved for flight attendants and the country club set. Now they are everything cool!
Statement Purse Etro
No matter what the size of your purse it’s a great way to make a statement. A little leopard always helps too! Sometimes the most unlikely color and pattern combinations make for the most unique handbags.
Tailored Blazer Smythe
Blazers dress up jeans in such a fabulous way. Wear with a tee shirt, cool sneakers, boots or heels. I have classic navy camel & black in my closet. More flirty colors like red and pink are fun too!
Wool Coat J. Crew
Having a cozy wool coat at the ready will keep you warm and cozy. Here in the mountains I always have one handy, even if the day starts off warm, once the sun goes down it gets super chilly. Nothing feels better than wrapping yourself in a yummy coat.
A Head-Turning Hat Maison Michel Paris
I have loved hats for years. They add so much to any outfit & really help to define your personal style. For travel I prefer crushables. When at home I have a large collection of custom and more tailored ones. Often you can change the look of a hat with a new hat band, a quick and easy way to make old new again.
Floral Patterned Dress Dodo Bar Or
It’s super cool to show your girly side in a beautiful floral dress. Liven up any grey, cold day with a flirty print! Wear with tights to stay warm.
Crisp White Button Down Anne Fontaine
It’s great to have an iconic white shirt or a few in your closet. Wear on its own or layered with your favorite blazer, chunky sweater or moto jacket.
Crafty Knits Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini
Thick, crafty knits are super cool. You know those chunky yarns that you just want to snuggle up in? Chunky knits are great as throw blankets, but you need a sweater version too.
Slouchy Knee Boots Isabel Marant
Bring back the best of the 80’s with a slouchy, sexy leather boot. Pair with dresses, skirts & denim for a statement outfit.
Metallics IRO
Razzle dazzle in a metallic biker jacket, shoes or blingy jewels. Pair with simple solids or prints (such as your floral dress.)
Power Red Lips (& EVERYTHING!) Rouge Dior
OMG what’s hotter than a striking red lip? There are plenty to choose from depending on your skin tone. One of the classics is the Dior color shown here.
