I am one of those odd few who sticks to my healthy eating regime no matter what the holiday or celebration. St. Patrick’s Day is one of those days. My eyes indulge in the stunning cupcakes, layer cakes, marshmallows, Guiness Floats, decorated cookies, truffles, candy & everything green!
Folks celebrate this fun lucky holiday with green beer, green bagels and more (yes, my kids eat the green bagels at school.) I go with all natural green from avocados, match tea and veggies.
Come take a look and create some of these quick + delicious recipes if you want to go green au natural!
What you see here are my Matcha Green Tea Pistachio Muffins. Little blissful gluten free bitesΒ with a delicate green tea flavor. Have you ever tried match green tea powder? If not you must.
I even decorated them with little whipped cream shamrocks so you can feel a bit more festive.
Please be kind about some of these older photos. Just dig into the recipes…
My Green Supreme Shake is filled with flavor. It has kiwi, avocado, match green tea (yes again!) and coconut. Β This is prefect for pre or post workout snacks and for a creamy dessert treat. Versatile indeed!

So refreshing to not have to see bright green frosting from food coloring. Happy St Patricks day, LL
Lucy, it is refreshing to post au natural green food π
Great recipes! Happy Saint Paddy’s Day.
I really love the salsa and frittata.
Cheers,

Green food….what fun. My boys love anything out of the ordinary (and anything they can make a disgusting reference to while eating…snot, worms, slime…etc.)
Shawna, that is hilarious!! Total boys π
Such a wonderful and creative mix of “green” foods – and I agree with Lucy – a wonderful break from “bright green frosting”!
Thanks Nancy. I always love to share my twists on the other stuff out there π
Your Pistachio muffins look amazing! Thanks for sharing so many delicious and healthful green recipes!
Natalie, those muffins are really good. Think I need to make them again asap!
Some of my very favorite foods are naturally green! Pistachio, spinach (any green veggie, really), avocado, green tea, honeydew, limes.. yum yum yum!
Sometimes I can’t get past randomly adding green food coloring to something to call it a St. Patrick’s Day treat, but things that exist that way naturally? I’m on board.
Sounds like we are on the same page when it comes to green food Erin! Happy a happy St. Paddy’s Day π
Wow, what a gorgeous spread! I posted 25 ideas earlier today but my pics include some of my EARLY recipes and they aren’t all so pretty. lol
xoxo
