When I was a kid I did not understand the flavor Butter Pecan. It was something my dad craved all the time. I was more of a chocolate or cookies and cream kind of gal. Now that I am a big kid (that’s right, I’ll never grow up thank you very much) I am nuts for nuts so this flavor is among my all time favorites.
What could be more tempting than pecans sautéed with rich butter and pure maple syrup? I mixed all that with Redwood Hill Farm plain goat milk yogurt.
Sweet meets nutty, tangy & buttery…. all in a pop!
I honestly feel that in the way a girl cannot have enough pairs of shoes, she cannot have enough popsicle makers.
Isn’t this one cute?! I love the size and the fact that it is silicone.
Don’t fret though, regular Dixie cups can work too.
There are many good reasons why this goat yogurt wins awards. I am thrilled that I got to visit Redwood Hill Farm first hand.
Not only did I meet the cutest goats ever, but I got to taste all of their amazing products.
In addition to making these pops with the plain unsweetened goat yogurt, Â you can also buy some of their flavored ones.
Wildflower Honey, Blueberry, Cranberry Orange…..those would taste great frozen into popsicles too!
Knowing that this yogurt comes from such a pretty place makes it all the more special!
Besides the great flavors the other thing I love about these yogurts is the fact that there is no refined sugars in them at all. The vanilla is sweetened with maple syrup and the fruity flavors are naturally sweetened with fruit juice concentrates and clover honey.
Since I like to handle my own sweetness, I generally prefer plain everything. But to have options is always best!
These pops are great poolside or for an after school snack. If your kids are anything like mine they come in from the pool or after a long day of school starving.
This healthy treat will tempt, delight and not cause yucky energy crashes later on.
Do you like butter pecan? What unique popsicles flavors have you tried recently?

Thanks Susan! Simple, easy + tasty. Just the way you and I like to prepare our food.
These look so good! Although, my kids probably would think they were weird, I think they’d try ’em…I know I’d love them.
Kelly, it’s worth a try with the kids ~ but yes, certainly a more mature pop 😉
So creative Marla! I can’t wait to try these!
STELLAR recipe! and of course, gorgeous pics and love your too many popsicle molds/shoes analogy. Totally true and these are possibly my faves of your b/c you can liberally apply nuts (or sprinkles!!)
Averie, I figured you would have caught onto my shoe analogy 😉 Love the idea of the sprinkles.
i never understood the butter pecan thing either until i finally learned that i liked the flavor of roasted pecans! now i can’t get enough…this is definitely one dangerous pop 🙂
Those are SO cute!
I love these flavors (and the molds!)!! Great popsicles!
I am a huge fan of goat yogurt and never thought to put them in popsicles-brilliant idea! This recipe looks scrumptious and I love that you gave us the option to use ghee.
Laura, I always have a pot of organic ghee on the kitchen counter. Love it! It adds flavor to just about everything 🙂 You will enjoy the goat yogurt in your frozen yogurt pops!
Marla, thanks for the farm tour. Your photos are brilliant, love the colors: it definitely made my day! Now I just need to make some goat milk youghurt, then some popsicles with nuts (Oh dear, this family is so nuts about nuts!) 🙂

I love those molds, just like old fashioned ice cream bars!
Sylvie, I had not thought of that. Perhaps that is why I am drawn to these molds ~ for that old fashioned styling 🙂
Such beautiful photos. I have never tasted butter pecan! *gasp* but these look really good! That silicone mold is so cute too!!
Carla, I am obsessed with that little mold. There are endless possibilities! You gotta try butter pecan when you can ~ if you are a nut lover it will become a quick obsession!

What a refreshing and delicious summer treat!
Wow, these popsicles are truly special. I didn’t appreciate ice cream flavors other than chocolate as a kid but like you, my taste buds have since broadened their ice cream horizons. Love this!
I’ve always been a chocolate girl myself but I could definitely be swayed with these – especially with the goat milk yogurt!
Hi Marla, Found your blog through your link to my Banana Buttermilk Pecan Muffins. Thanks. Your photos are beautiful!
Marie
This sounds like the perfect pop!
These are so fun
OOh, how exciting! These look fabulous, Marla! What a great idea. I love toasted nuts – they’re like an entirely different flavor when toasted, right? It’s so fun to have people like you coming up with creative new ways to use our yogurt. Thanks for interspersing the pics from the farm, too! Can’t wait to try this right away!
It s always a pleasure to work with your fine products! Yes, the toasted nuts are essential in my life – I put them on everything 🙂
These popsicles look insanely delicious! I love the toasted nuts mixed in! 🙂
The flavor combination in these popsicles sounds to-die-for. Buttery and nutty and sweet… YUM!
I made these using greek yogurt and an ice cube tray, they were delicious! I used to love Butter Pecan ice cream, but over the years I find it hard to eat more than a couple spoons of something so sweet. This was the perfect remedy! Thank you!!
Oh my gosh, I could eat so many of those.
They sound amazing.
