My favorite holiday tradition is that my Christmas tree ornaments date back to the year my mother-in-law was pregnant with my husband. Each year since then she has gifted him (and now myself and her grandchildren) with a new ornament. My tree is full of sweet memories. When my children become adults, and leave home, they will take their “starter set” of ornaments with them.
Baking Christmas cookies is my favorite thing to do along, until the kids get a little older. Decorating the house for Christmas is my favorite thing to do as a family.

(Most of us live out of state, so it’s great to catch up in that way. It’s also very personal, and there are usually lots of tears and laughs.)
