Dressings

Lemon Honey Salad Dressing

Happy Friday! Hopefully you had a busy & productive week. I have been traveling a whole lot. A few days in Telluride. A few days in Beaver Creek. A few days in Vail. A busy gal has gotta keep on her toes!

I developed quite a few new recipes this week, a few of which use this Lemon Honey Salad Dressing. I figured this was worthy of it’s own blog post because I will be referring to it often. I wanted to keep things simple for you to find the recipe when you need it.

Besides, it tastes amazing.

I love salad dressings that have the perfect balance of flavors. Here sweet & savory combine.

Citrus & honey are meant to be married.

That can be easily done when you shake them up with olive oil, sea salt and some black pepper.

This is a light dressing that can be used on many recipes. I will be sharing a quinoa salad & a few other delicious recipes in the upcoming weeks that incorporate this dressing.

I’m sure it will be a favorite in the warmer months as well! I’m curious as to how you will incorporate this into your recipes.

Think out of the box. It would make a great marinade for chicken, tofu & a slew of things.

  1. Marla, this looks delicious and so pretty! I would definitely bottle this one up as a food gift for someone special (although I’d have to save some for myself too, lol!). Cheers!

PS: Thank you for the link to my homemade food gift idea for a Hot Wing Salad Dressing as well!

    1. Hi there! I purchased a set of these bottles a few years ago & canon remember where from. I will give a shout on Facebook later to see if anyone knows where to find them 🙂

  2. This is one of my favorite type of salad dressings. Simple is the best route for dressings, in my opinion. I love the way lemon brightens up the flavor of any dish, so you are right, this would be great used in many different ways. 🙂

  3. This may be a silly question, but do you have to refrigerate this dressing, or leave it out? Can’t wait to try!

Just found your blog (through pinterest), and love it! I especially love your love of CO! Lived for almost three years in Montrose, so when I saw your barn pics from there, I knew I would like you. 😉 I have a good friend up in Telluride, and got to visit last summer. Look forward to following your blog!

    1. Hi Mandy! Awesome that you lived in Montrose. I love it there 🙂 YES! Do refrigerate this dressing to keep it fresh 🙂

      1. oh okay, in the above comment you mentioned it needed to be refrigerated because it had dairy in it, so I was confused. thanks!

        1. Ohhhhhh. Good eye Lauren. I just edited that comment. The dressing should be refrigerated to keep it fresh….but certainly no dairy.

  4. Tasted a honey lemon vinaigrette at a restaurant and I’m trying to recreate. This recipe sounds tasty, but how much salt and pepper should be used?

  5. Hi! I use a similar combo as my “go to” dressing too! It adds flavor without masking the salad itself. I like to add garlic, because I love it so. A lot or a little, whatever your preference, is delicious with the honey and lemon flavors, and plenty of cracked black pepper. Fresh veggies never tasted so good!
