When traveling through Switzerland and Austria, two things are a constant every morning for breakfast…a piping hot cup of coffee and a delicious bowl of muesli! This dish is a staple in those regions & something that should be a regular addition in our lives too. My Overnight Banana Nut Bircher Muesli is a healthy combo of all the recipes I tried while overseas. What exactly is Muesli anyways? I love the way Seven Sundays takes the time to answer a world of questions about it. This food is so popular in Switzerland, I even found a store dedicated to it in Zurich, appropriately called My Muesli. In that shop you could find every flavor you could possibly imagine!!

 

One of the best things about muesli is you don’t have to cook at all to make it. I like to soak muesli overnight for the creamiest texture.This breakfast is protein packed,lightly sweetened, nutrient rich and completely delicious!

  1. I will be making this tonight, hopefully! I need a new breakfast. I go through phases with overnight oats, but it has been a while so I’m ready again. I definitely get sentimental about the past. These days I just try to live in the moment and soak it all up. Easier said than done since time flies!
