Lightened-Up Sesame Chicken with Broccoli & Couscous

Around here there can never be enough busy weeknight recipes to choose from. I need to be a able to cook quick meals that taste amazing and satisfy very hungry tummies. My kids love Chinese food. Thankfully I had all these ingredients in my kitchen to whip up this healthy meal for them. My Lightened-Up Sesame Chicken with Broccoli & Couscous is way more nutritious than what you get at your local take-out joint. Instead of rice or pasta I serve this chicken with a sesame couscous, the flavor of it is not so different than everyone’s favorite sesame noodles.

This recipe is easily adaptable, you can use tofu, pork, beef or seafood instead of chicken. You can also add more steamed veggies if you wish…carrots, zucchini and baby peas would be great options. Feel free to have fun with the sauce too. If you like your food spicy add more sriracha or some red pepper flakes. Enjoy!

  1. I’m making this right now, I’m guessing at the amount of broccoli don’t see it in the ingredient list. How much did it call for? Thank you, will let you know how we like it,
