In the winter it’s hard not to be inspired by the alpine lifestyle no matter where you live. I’m currently in Europe skiing some of the best resorts in the world. It’s been the journey of a lifetime and I learn so much everywhere I go. Each resort is so beautiful in it’s own way. The design elements are fantastic! Natural woods meet patterned and hued fabrics, shearling is prominent. It’s so interesting to see the contrast of styles based on each location I visit. For instance in St. Moritz Switzerland you will see very different styles than it’s chic ski mountain cousin Zermatt. St. Moritz is more glitzy and Zermatt (home of the Matterhorn) is more rustic in feel. That said, every place has it’s own unique charm and perfect take on alpine style.
