Best Tips and Products for Healthy & Pretty Icy Platinum Blonde Hair
March 23, 2019
Recently I went platinum blonde. You might have noticed the ongoing transition to this in my Instagram photos over the course of the past year. I have the most amazing hair colorist here in Telluride, CO. named Megan Keever and she has very carefully taken my dark strands to an angelic light hue. I’ve learned a whole lot in the process (watch the video above) and my best advice is that if you are planning on doing this to your hair, that you don’t skimp on cost and don’t cut corners. Find a colorist you trust implicitly and one that really understands how to keep your hair healthy with all the chemical processing. Platinum takes maintenance once you have it but the products I suggest here will help keep your hair healthy, strong and that beautiful, trendy icy color.

Fanola: No Yellow Shampoo $11.02
This shampoo must be used sparingly….you can get great results but you don’t want to leave it on for very long.
This collection smells amazing (like grapes) and it’s a bit less strong in intensity than the Fanola.
Target was genius to acquire this high functioning hair styling collection by stylist Kristin Ess. It smells fantastic, is budget friendly and functions so well! In my opinion, this purple shampoo and conditioner is not as intense as the other two.
On days when you don’t use purple shampoo Olaplex is the answer. A few days per week I sleep in the Treatment No3.
I love so many Kevin Murphy styling products these 3 being some of my all time faves.
Silk Pillowcase $24.99
Hair glides over this pillowcase as you sleep preventing snags. Comes in many colors.
Dries hair quickly and this towel is light weight so you can wear it around the house with ease. Small to pack for travel too.
Absolutely the BEST hairdryer out there. Temperature controlled and lots of air flow keeps hair shiny and works quickly.
