If you love the mountains as much as I do and Vail, Colorado is on your bucket list…then you must book at stay at the Four Seasons Vail. I was there recently for the Taste of Vail: Fall Wine and Food Classic and all I want to do now is go back! If there is something that is guaranteed about the Four Seasons brand is that you WILL feel pampered during your entire stay. At this property your luxury expectations will be far exceeded and a truly bespoke experience awaits the most discerning traveler.
#FSVail
Let’s say you are booking your ultimate dream vaca. It can be a summer escape, winter getaway, spring fling or fall extravaganza. This year round hotel awaits as does the entire beautiful Vail Valley. I have been traveling to Vail consistently for the past 6 years and I just can’t get enough of it. This is a very sophisticated ski resort that offers outdoor fun for all. Cultural activities, epic shopping and delicious restaurants beckon.
If you ski then Vail Mountain is a must. The terrain varies for every level and Vail offers some of the longest runs I’ve ever been on. If hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing or simply taking in breathtaking views is your thing then Vail is your place. If soaking in the mountain sunshine while sipping the most delish cocktails is your jam then the Four Seasons Vail is the place to stay.
Upon arrival I was generously greeted with this gorgeous welcome display of homemade chocolate.
Remedy Bar
First things first…let’s talk about what you encounter when you walk into this grand hotel. Comfy bar stools and high topped tables await your arrival. A beautiful, friendly staff awaits to serve you a “remedy” aka: libation. Immediately you are drawn to take a seat at the Remedy Bar. With huge picture windows that overlook the breathtaking Vail pistes you can’t help but smile from ear to ear. You can order a signature craft cocktail from the whimsical menu. There is also an award winning wine list curated by Director of Beverage Steven Teaver. Libations are carefully concocted with locally grown herbs, flowers and flavors inspired by the mountains.
These remedies are exactly what the Dr. ordered for a delicious, relaxing time with friends. Check out Remedy food and drink menu here. There are drink options ranging from Elixirs, Potions and also the “Seven ways to remedy your week” a lively collection of daily selections.
Also be sure to try the restaurant Flame, a modern mountain steakhouse with wonderfully tasty offerings. Learn more about Flame here.
For my cocktail remedy, I chose the Fumar Pina. A smoky mezcal drink with fresh pineapple juice. It’s definitely something I crave now and will order up again next time I’m there.
For food we indulged in the Bison Pizza, Charleston Truffle and Ginger Sweet Chili Wings and my absolute favorite: The Pretzel Charcuterie. This giant homemade pretzel with locally cured meats brought me right back to the Swiss and Austrian Alps. I highly suggest you don’t miss this menu item when you visit.
It was an awesome surprise to bump into a few of my Vail pals while at Remedy. As much as this bar is for hotel guests, it’s also super popular with the locals.
Room Service
I don’t think there is anything more pampering than having a beautiful brekkie delivered to your room. The in-room dining at FS Vail is spectacular. I indulged in the House Cured Smoked Salmon & Steel Cut Oatmeal with so many wonderful toppings. Room service is offered around the clock so you will never go hungry!
Accomodations
I had so many fun activities planned while in Vail…but I made sure to take plenty of time to snuggle up in my beautifully appointed room. As soon as I stepped in, I turned on my fireplace, took a luxurious bubble bath and settled into my decadent king bed to catch up on my favorite mags. The rooms are contemporary with warm woods and leather accents. There is plenty of room to spread out if you are traveling as a couple and there are plenty of larger suite and resort residence options available for families and groups of friends. Spa.ahhhhhh & Pool
Be sure to make time for the year-round outdoor pool and spa. Remedy Bar overlooks this majestic pool, so you can take a peek before you dive in. No matter what the temperature you will enjoy the al fresco heated pool and hot tub. Be on the lookout for the cabinet with heated towels. They are delicious to cozy up in.
The indoor spa is glorious with a large quiet room, brilliantly curated boutique, fitness center, treatment rooms, sauna, eucalyptus steam room and plunge pools.
Go Bespoke!
The helpful Concierge team at the hotel can arrange all kinds of memorable opportunities for you. When I was there they offered me to test drive of a fleet of brand new Mercedes-Benz cars. I choose to take a fall foliage tour with the top down in the gorgeous 550SL convertible. This is by far the fastest and most luxurious car I’ve ever driven. If you have enough time on your hands, you can borrow it for a good part of the day and get some serious mileage in touring the nearby peaks.
The concierge team can outfit you with guides and gear to master the 193 alpine trails in Vail. Slopeside there is a Ski Concierge chalet where you can recharge with warmed ski boots, hot chocolate and your skis are at the ready to hop on the lifts. Click here to see all the services and amenities.
