Looking for a refreshing cocktail to add to your happy hour recipe collection? This martini is the perfect addition! This is a very grown up lemonade. Fresh lemon & basil combine beautifully with Grey Goose Le Citron (I love infused vodka) & St-Germain. I know there are loads of St-Germain fans out there…you always get so excited when I post the bottle on Instagram! I also posted a video of this recipe if you would like to check it out! For this cocktail I whipped up a homemade basil simple syrup. This is great to have on hand in the warmer months. You can add it to all kids of spring & summer beverages. Bring it on a picnic & add to fizzy water. It’s great in smoothies too! What is simple syrup? It’s a sweet syrup that you can add to cold drinks, the sugar is in a liquid form so it actually sweetens instead of sitting in the bottom of the glass. All you do to make it is boil equal parts sugar and water until the sugar dissolves. Add a flavor if you wish. In this case basil is the accent. Aren’t these daffodils so pretty? I found them in Dolores, CO. They put a huge smile on my face whenever I look at them! We will be sitting on our deck a whole lot this spring & summer. Sipping these martinis & gazing at all the surrounding natural beauty! Hope you can enjoy it soon too! xo Click HERE for the recipe. Martini Recipe Links

I saw this right about 5 o’clock my time and thought, I WISH I was having that right about now!! 🙂
It’s gorgeous, both the drink and the photography! Love the collage. And I really love that font!! What font is it if you don’t mind sharing? Pinned of course!
Thanks so much Averie! I’ll try to locate that font for you now! xx
PS This martini would be way more fun if you were here to enjoy it with me!!
A fantastic cocktail and great flavour combo!
Cheers,
Rosa
Thank you Rosa!
I love this! I’ve only had cocktails with basil in a restaurant….now you’ve inspired me to try this at home. Maybe tonight! 🙂 Thanks! Pinned.
Yay! So happy to hear that. Give this martini a whirl now…so you have that syrup at the ready for even more! xx
Your daffodils are gorgeous! I used to buy myself flowers every week for the house. But kind of got out of the habit. I need to start again. They really make a big difference in my mood. And this cocktail would also probably improve my mood as well. Ha ha! Have a great weekend!
Liz, same thing with me. When I lived in CA I would always buy fresh flowers for the house. Here in Telluride they are way more pricy & hard to come by, so it’s rare that I have them. Need to make it more of a habit though. They really liven up the home & photoshoots! xx
The lemon and basil combo sounds great and it’s perfect for spring!
You make the most beautiful drinks, Marla! This is stunning!
Anna, that means so much to me! Thank you 🙂 xx
What a stunning cocktail! Lemon and basil sounds like such a beautiful combination, especially for spring. The daffodils look extra pretty in that blue and white picture.
What a great combo Marla! I love the addition of basil!
How fun for spring and so beautiful!
I love that basil syrup, what a gorgeous martini!
This martini looks amazing! Love the bright pictures! Flowers make such a difference 🙂
They really do!!
Perfect drink for hot summer nights! The addition of basil makes the whole drink more interesting 🙂 Thank you for sharing
I’ve been making this recipe for years now and everyone loves it! It is definitely a crowd-pleaser. I’ve had guests who are not martini fans rave about it and ask for a second (or third). Excellent recipe!
I’m so happy to hear this Valerie!! Happy Thanksgiving 🙂
