This July 4th Berry Dessert Pizza is simple to prepare & will impress your guests on July 4th & any time this summer! My kids dove into this as soon as the photoshoot wrapped!
With a stand mixer, cream together the butter & sugar with the paddle attachment. Add the remainder of the ingredients, mix well.
Transfer dough to a work surface & form 2 discs, cover each with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Lightly flour work surface & rolling pin. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F with the rack in the middle of oven. Bake for about 14-15 minutes, or until edges are slightly browned….don’t over bake.
Let the cookie cool completely. Spread on the whipped cream & decorate with berries. Serve immediately. If it's super warm & the whipped cream gets runny, freeze the cookie for 30 minutes before serving so the whipped cream can firm up again.
This dough will make enough for 2 pizzas. You can also make minis or a super giant one!
