Today we need to have a talk. A little talk about strawberry love and pink milk. In this house we have a thing for all kinds of berries (I even have a Pinterest board for Berries).
Thankfully here in Southern California bright red strawberries are abundant pretty much year round. Our ground does not freeze and the crops keep coming. This time of year they are at their peak! There are a few strawberry farms within a mile of our house. Thank goodness…
The only thing we need to worry about is what to do with all this strawberry bliss. We love our Citrus Roasted Strawberry Parfaits. Have you had a chance to roast strawberries yet? If no then you must. You could roast them for this pink milk or you can heat them in a saucepan instead. That is what I did here.
You house will smell amazing when you do this. I can assure you that.
This milk can easily be vegan, simple use coconut milk, almond milk, soy or rice. If you are into dairy then use cows milk. Goats milk would be tasty too. You could make it super thick with some kefir too. Yum!
I believe Alice would like this strawberry milk. Perhaps I should invite her for a tea party some day… (by the way I have an Alice in Wonderland pin board too, in case you were curious)
When you blend this drink it forms a beautiful, thick frothy crema. A cream that sticks around even if you store it in the fridge for a few hours.
This healthy treat is pretty much a smoothie with no ice. Add the ice if you want a strawberry shake kinda thing. You can top with a dollop of vanilla, strawberry or chocolate whipped cream.
The yield is one cup of strawberry purée which is great stirred into oatmeal, parfaits. It is also wonderful as a pancake or french toast sauce…
So go ahead and make yourself and someone you love some Strawberry Milk. Something so simple never tasted so good…

Love this Marla! I remember seeing the photo on Instagram. Love that towel!! Have a beautiful week my friend!
LOVE the photography on this post. I love all your photos, Marla, but the props here are adorable! Where did you find that napkin with the ants?
Just gorgeous, Marla! Yes, I think Alice would would it! 😉 I’m also in LOVE with that strawberry box!!!
Looks delicious, and gorgeous photos, as always!
A delightful drink! Thousand times better than the industrial kind, and healthier. The strawberries are very tasty this year…
Cheers,
Rosa xxx
Sounds SOOOOO good! What a wonderfully healthy and delicious way to enjoy pink milk! 🙂
This is delicious, Girl! I admit to sampling the artificial kind and sort of loving it… but this is so much better!
I too love all things Alice – I have the very same glasses that my aunt gave me for Christmas – time for pink milk. Do you know the Charlie and Lola book I’m not tired and I will not go to bed? In that they have pink milk with three tigers
Not only does the strawberry milk look beautiful in those Alice in Wonderland glasses, but my mouth is watering for a cup! I cannot wait to make this at home with all sort of berries. Thanks Marla.
Ooo, I’ve got to try this! Strawberry milk is so pretty and I am excited to have an alternative to the other powder stuff. Thank you lots. 🙂
Also! I have a $50 fresh giveaway right now on my blog if you want to put your name in for the win! 😉

What cute glasses, Marla! Clearly we’re both in love with strawberries today as I’ve been obsessing over strawberry lassi as of late!
Aida, oooooo strawberry lassi now that is sounding very good right now.
My kids have never seen “pink milk” thank goodness, but I saw it on Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution show and have since wanted to make homemade pink (fresh strawberry) milk too! Great minds 😉 Have a great week, Marla!
Marina, great minds indeed. My kids have never seen the fake stuff and quite frankly I have never tried it either. Thank goodness! Thanks for stopping by.
much MUCH better than the powdered stuff masquerading as strawberry milk – perfect Marla!
Debra ~ you are so right. Masquerades are only for parties right?!
What a lovely drink Marla. But I need to admit I am totally in love with those ants on the towel, so-so cute!
Marina, isn’t that towel great?! I flipped when I stumbled upon it.
Gotta love some strawberry milk. Sure beats the strawberry powder I’d dump in my milk as a kid! Love that glass!
Averie, gotta admit my folks never bought the powdered stuff ~ but I can only imagine. Did you try your new lens yet?
Loving the Alice in Wonderland details! I bet she would love your Strawberry milk! ^_^
My boys would love this! I will have to check out Stevia drops. I didn’t know it came in drop form!
Did you know Yak’s milk is naturally pink – though not as sweet as yours I bet!
Lucy…really? I had not a clue yak’s milk was pink. When did you have it? Was there an Everest trek that I missed?
Marla. That is so pretty!
Love my favorite berry. I made some pink milk with keifer and it was so yummy
I love those glasses!
Not the strawberry milk I remember as a kid- So much better!
Where did you get those Alice glasses? I love them!
Thanks Shane! They were a gift 🙂
Shane, Marci says you can get the glasses at Fishes Eddy in NYC 🙂 yay!!
Those cups are so darn cute! I love this idea, perfect for so many occasions. Would definitely love to see your ideas for an Alice in Wonderland party. 🙂
Thanks Rachel. Now I guess I need to throw an Alice in Wonderland themed party!
Where did you get those awesome glasses??
This sounds fantastic and so much healthier than the sugar laden pink stuff at the market! Super cute knife too!
This looks so good! Thanks for sharing my post!
Alice in Wonderland from Fishs Eddy. Have them, love me.
Thanks Marci, I just passed on the word to Shane 🙂

Very cute, Marla!
Love this Marla!
Wow..those Strawberries in the 2nd click look so lively, and what a cute checkered knife that is.
This sounds great! I just bought 32oz of strawberries and I’ve been using them slowly (and uncreatively) all week. Perhaps this milk (or one of your roasted strawberry recipes) will be the way to go!
You made this simple recipe so pretty (like always). I can’t wait to try this!
This really makes me want to move to California right now! Beautiful pictures as always!
This is really something! You make the simplest things come to life in such an amazing way. It’s a great reminder that the simple tastes delicious.
xoxo
Thanks D!! I really have so much fun using the simplest of ingredients. Awesome to show folks how healthy and accessible great food can be 🙂
okay, I can not make my 3 yr old drink milk for the life of me but I bet you if I made this he would dig right IN!
Awesome Jessica! I hope you can encourage your son to drink his milk now 🙂
Love, love the glasses! I’m sure the strawberry milk tastes extra special because of it. 😉
Christine, I do believe the fancy little glasses always add to the impact 😉
Gorgeous and I know it tastes oh so perfect!
Yum Marla…you just made me get all giddy inside. I love pink milk. Love it. I’ve never made it from fresh berries…and well, I’d never buy the powdered stuff now that I’m a Mom. You better bet this is going to be made in the next day! Bring on the pink milk. 🙂 Great recipe darlin.
xo
Heather
Yay Heather, giddy is GREAT!! Enjoy your pink milk 🙂
This is a great recipe! I am going to have to try this for my son for sure!
Yumm!! Love this! My girls, and I, would happily drink this right up! 🙂
I’ve been dying to make this with my daughter. We’ll be trying it out tomorrow night since it’s taken me nearly all week to find decent organic strawberries!
Oh I love the idea of using kefir! I’ve been loving that stuff lately.
Thanks for sharing your treat, this sounds much better than Strawberry nesquick!
We have a huge affection for everything berries too! Lovely and delicious drink 🙂
Beautiful photography, delicious and simple recipe! I love it!
How beautiful! I love fresh strawberries
My 3.5 year old son & I had a ton of fun making this and we got rave reviews 🙂 Although, my presentation wasn’t quite as pretty…
