Hi everyone! Hopefully you have been following my travel updates on Instagram & Snapchat @marmeri If not I invite you to! My trip to St. Moritz, Switzerland has been nothing short of EPIC! My first stop on the itinerary was The Carlton Hotel. This 60 suite luxury hotel epitomizes St. Moritz style as we dream of it to be.
From the moment I arrived at the St. Moritz train station I was greeted with smiles and and transferred to the hotel in a Bentley.
I met my butler Mary Lynn at check in. She showed me around my suite, but had me first stop at the entryway to gasp at a gorgeous vase of red roses, sent to me by someone special in the States!
I enjoyed 3 magical evenings at this 5 star, classic, luxurious and very comfortable hotel. It’s perched over Lake St. Moritz and every room is situated to have this view. I was lucky to stay in the Chagall Suite. As the name implies, the theme was decorated colorfully in the spirit of Marc Chagall, the artist.
The walls are painted with beautiful murals, reproductions of his artwork. A very soothing and inspiring atmosphere.
There was even an easel and watercolor markers for those who want to paint the lake and mountain view.
After all the ski adventures I’ve been on it was time for a massage! The Carlton Spa is beautiful. My treatment excellent and so relaxing. The pressure just deep enough to sooth my tired muscles, also relieving of the tension built up from so much travel and activity.
The wet area is amazing with stunning views of the surrounding pistes. Very relaxing after a long day on the slopes! Upon return to my room I had this waiting for me…
I enjoyed a beautiful tasting dinner at the hotel’s classic Italian restaurant Da Vittorio. The brother chefs, Enrico and Roberto Cerea are Italian. They work in St. Moritz in the winter and on a delightful country estate outside the Italian town of Brusaporto near Bergamo in the summer. What a great way to split ones time! The restaurant at the Carlton has 1 Michelin star and 18 Gault & Millau Points. Very impressive indeed!
Breakfasts were extraordinary as well. I was treated like a princess with two days of early morning room service.
I had heaps of work to do, so this seemed like the perfect idea!
I also went to the grand dining room for a very well appointed brunch at Restaurant Romanoff The offerings were abundant and delicious! From muesli to, smoked seafood to homemade breads…there is something for everyone at this brunch!
Hope you enjoyed this virtual visit to one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Cheers!
