I didn’t have to travel to the other side of the globe to make it to one of my bucket list locations. Yesterday I visited Pawhuska Oklahoma, the home of The Pioneer Woman Mercantile @pwmercantile P-Town Pizza @ptownpizza Charlie’s Sweet Shop @charliessweetshop and more lovely boutiques including @osageoutfitters & @lorecranch It’s become a hopping place. A quiet town revitalized by the Pioneer Woman brand. A visit to Osage County @visit_the_osage is absolutely beautiful! Wide open spaces welcome you everywhere. It’s well worth the trip if you happen to be in this neck of the woods.

It was such a delight to go there and absolutely exceeded my expectations in every way. The Merc is adorable with goodies for the kitchen, home decorating and nibbles that dreams are made of! We indulged in some treats upstairs at the cafe and then had lunch at P-Town Pizza.

I’ll never forget meeting Ree @thepioneerwoman at my first BlogHer conferences… I believe back in 2009. She’s the kindest most generous soul and her smile is infectious. I was a new mom and really excited to take on a new career. It’s people like Ree that inspired me to keep going as a blogger. She lights up the room and adds excitement to any gathering.

It was a relatively new frontier when I started my new career as the blogger of my website FamilyFreshCooking.com The folks I met back then made lasting impressions.

I sure hope you can visit the small town of Pawhuska, Oklahoma some day too it’s really worth it in every way!
