Happy New Year everyone! Wow! What a delicious year it’s been. I’ve zig zagged the globe and had the opportunity to meet the most amazing people, taste the most fabulous food & drink and blog about all of it…..what that means is I get to bring you internationally inspired content! Woo hoo! As most of you have likely noticed I have an insatiable wanderlust personality. I travel at least 1X per month (near & far from home.) These journeys have become a huge part of my blog. Have you taken note of my sites name change? We are in the works to make this blog bigger & better than ever. MarlaMeridith.com is now more aptly named MarlaMeridith.com. This gives me the freedom to post all the things you’ve come to know & love, but with a more unrestrained freedom. Let’s look back on some fun trips together….
My home. Telluride, Colorado
January I had just returned from an annual trip to Grand Cayman, so I stayed pretty close to home. By the way, did I mention that my home town of Telluride, CO is pretty much the best travel destination ever? Basically my home town rivals any trips I’ve ever taken. It’s been rated reader’s choice #1 Ski Resort on North America the past few years in Condé Nast Traveler magazine. Lots to love & always hard to leave!Fall in Telluride, CO & my pup Moose
Telluride, CO. A heavenly winter’s day!
So where else did kick off the year? I left my ski resort to visit more Colorado ski resorts….Beaver Creek & Vail. I had many assignments & events with Vail Resorts over the year, which too me up to Summit County many, many times.Buffalo Quail Drumsticks at The Osprey, Beaver Creek
Best lift location. Right outside The Osprey hotel!
Beaver Creek Food & Wine Weekend
Arrabelle, Vail. A photography assignment.
Baklava French Toast. The Lodge at Vail. A photography assignment.
February
As you can see, I logged lots of ski days and plenty of fine food & drink!
Savor the Slopes, Keystone, CO
March
Each year my goal is to visit Switzerland. This year Zermatt was my choice, home of the Matterhorn. It was truly amazing!!
Zermatt, Switzerland
Breathtaking views at my favorite restaurant Chez Vrony!
April
Back in the USA! A family ski trip to Beaver Creek…we skied, swam, played, roasted s’mores & ate lots of great food!
Ahhhhhh smore’s!
May
May is a relatively quiet month. In Telluride it’s shoulder season, a time when we re-group & charge up for a super busy spring & summer. At the end of May is my all time favorite film festival…
June
Oh June! A delightful time to travel with blossoms & bluebird skies everywhere….Chef David Burton Sanchez & I teamed up at the Snowmass Mammoth Fest Chili Cook-Off. We took first place People’s Choice!
Snowmass Mammoth Festival Goers
The weekend after that I was off to Aspen!
with Tom Colicchio
with Curtis Stone
I was on assignment as a Patron photographer
Then a weekend trip to Durango, CO….

July
There’s no need to leave my home town for July 4th. Our celebration is gorgeous & so patriotic! I scope out our spot at 5am, marking it with tarps & chairs. The streets are quiet & dark when I stalk the perfect viewing location. At 8am a large group of us head to the Sheridan Chop House for brunch. Then we watch the parade. One of the best days of the year for sure!

August
As the summer winds down it’s important to keep the easy breezy memories going. I took my kids on a great adventure!
September
Another pretty chill month, I bounced around Colorado a bit more…
Fly Fishing Minturn, Colorado
October
Fall in Telluride is spectacular! There is no reason to go anywhere else, though a few trips were planned….
After the leaves fell I was on a cruise….the ports of call were in the Western Caribbean. Including Costa Maya, Honduras, Cozumel and Belize.
November
November brought me to London & NYC. I shopped till I dropped in London, hung out with my bestie from high school & enjoyed the finest spots for food!
In NYC I was in a few TV segments. Hopefully way more lined up in 2015!

December
A full rotation of the sun brings me back to our annual family trip in Grand Cayman. It’s been a relaxing & super fun time here. Looking forward to all sorts of new & exciting adventures in 2015! xo
