Really great things can happen when there is an abundance of one ingredient on hand. I had cooked up a great big batch of barley and only needed a small amount for a lunch box recipe. Immediately I went into breakfast mode and came up with this super tasty breakfast bake!

Not too long ago I created these Creamy Roasted Carrot Shakes. They taste like carrot cake in a glass. For reals. I think about this milkshake non stop and decided that they needed their own color board! I love the way the warm oranges blend with the golden yellows along with the light caramel colored shake. It all plays so well against the baby blue font on the vintage flour sack.

I adore Ranunculus flowers! They arrive each spring in so many vibrant and elegant colors. We enjoyed them in all their glory last year at the Carlsbad Flower Fields. Have you ever been? We missed the show this year but I bought these pink and white beauties so we could relive the memories. The blooms have been splendid on our dining table and of course worthy of a few blog post features. Enjoy them with us in this color palette and in my Spring Bouquet Popsicles recipe post.

The weather has sure been all over the place lately in Southern California. My kids keep begging to go to the ocean and my husband and I keep begging for it to get a bit warmer before we splash splash. This photo I took on Seven Mile Beach in the Cayman Islands. I must tell you a little bit about how this flowers in popsicles thing happened. I was driving my kids to school and I said “mommy wants to make popsicles, what flavors can you pleeeease dream up for me?” Before I knew it delightful + tantalizing ideas were dancing around. All of a sudden my daughter screamed out FLOWER POPSICLES!!
And that is how this all happened. Since this recipe was posted here on MM, it has been featured in all kinds of magazines around the world, an extra special treat!
I often dream up wild ideas for popsicles. You guys have been huge fans of my Lemonade Cucumber Spa Pops. Those make you feel like you are at the spa even when you are not. My Spring Bouquet Pops can whisk you away to a fancy shower, tea party or wedding…even if you are at work in your photo studio 12 hours a day!
These are super fun for warm spring and summer days.
They would be a fun and surprising treat served at a bridal or baby shower. You can customize the colors of the flowers to suit the color theme of your party.
Do you think a bride could walk down the aisle holding a bouquet of popsicle flowers? Perhaps…if she doesn’t mind them dripping on her wedding gown…
You can also write sweet little messages on the popsicle sticks. Like this…
Just be sure whatever flowers you use are indeed edible and organic.
I used these Star Ice Pop molds. In case you want the same ones. What flavor are these pops? I flavored them with orange blossom water and sweetened them with my stevia drops, but you can also use honey, agave or simple syrup.

Chocolate. Ahhhhh the splendor. Fudge?! On MarlaMeridith.com? Yes and it is vegan too. There is something about taking your favorite chocolate bar, adding something creamy (in this case light coconut milk) and making it a smooth and silky treat. The crispy brown rice cereal adds a nice crunch factor into your smooth chocolate bliss.
