Looking for a fun + crafty project to do with the kids this weekend? Salt Dough Ornaments are so fun & super easy…a great way to personalize the holidays! I’m sure most of you have prettied up your Christmas trees all ready, but if you wish to add some more embellishments these Salt Dough Holiday Ornaments are the answer! They make super cool gift tags too… Salt Dough Holiday Ornaments | DIY pretties for your tree! MarlaMeridith.com So how do you make salt dough anyways? The dough is 2 parts water to 1 part salt. You add just enough water to make a firm (not gooey, sticky dough.) After that, roll the dough nice & thin, then cut pretty shapes out of it. Pop a hole in each ornament with a straw. Salt Dough Holiday Ornaments | DIY pretties for your tree! MarlaMeridith.com Bake the ornaments at 200 degrees F for 2-3 hours (depends on how thick you rolled the dough.) You will know when they are done ~ they will be hard to the touch. Salt Dough Holiday Ornaments | DIY pretties for your tree! MarlaMeridith.com After the dough is baked it’s time to paint!
