I LOVE ski resorts. You all ready knew that right? Not only do I live in a ski resort, but I travel around Colorado & the world to seek out the best ski town experiences. Thankfully this year has been a total win for great snow, ย superb mountains, fabulous new friends & lively ski resorts.
In February I was invited to attend Keystone’s Savor the Slopes event. This is a month long festival with each day highlighting a unique culinary/cocktail adventure.
I had never visited Keystone before but I made sure to play in every what I could…
So what sort of adventures did I partake in? Glad you asked.
I skied this world class mountain.
I ate AMAZING food & Savoured the Slopes to the max! My friend & I enjoyed a phenomenal Pinot Noir wine tasting at Alpenglow Stube.
I got to experience the vintage, rustic & elegant Ski Tip Lodge for dinner (I totally need to stay there some day!)
This was originally a stagecoach stop, built in the 1800’s. Today you can stay at their bed & breakfast. Or enjoy their gourmet 4 course dinner like I did. You can also sip cocktails & enjoy their aprรฉs ski in front of the fire.
The door handles are vintage ski tips…
I saw really cute things in Keystone…I’m obsessed with red wagons.
Here they have them readily available to help you haul your kids ski gear.
ย Or help you haul your kids…
I saw unique things…
And had an overall wonderful experience. The folks that work at the resort are super friendly & helpful.
Keystone resort is part of the Vail Resorts brand.
There are many things you’ll consistently find when you travel to a Vail Resort mountain. Excellent customer service,ย reliable, high quality experiences & lots of smiles!
The on mountain staff uniforms are kept consistent at the different resorts so you know who to look for when you need them. Here are the information folks…
I even shopped at my favorite store Gorsuch. I also shop there when I’m in Vail & Beaver Creek. I could live in Gorsuch.
Keystone is a perfect for destination for families and gatherings of all sizes.
It is well laid out with a center shopping & restaurant village called River Run Village.
There is something for everyone here. Lots of restaurants, bars & snack shops to choose from…
There are many condos to check out as well. Check in is typically at a central lodge location. I stayed at The Springs Condominiums.
My condo was a lovely 2 bedroom, 2 full bath with a family room & kitchen. It was well equipped, near the slopes and convenient for when you want to dine at home.
You can can find me back in Keystone this June 22nd & 23rd ย for the Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour. They say this event will transform the lives of bacon lovers, and I believe them!
That’s right folks…you heard it first here. Join me for some mountain fun & bacon! You know how much I loooooove bacon!
Here are a few things you should be sure to look for when you visit Keystone…
There are many fabulous views everywhere you look ~ especially while skiing.
Every day at 4pm there are cookies at the Dercum square ice rink. (Yessss!)
There is a โfamily ski trailโ called the Schoolyard. Want a ski break? Head over toย the โBeachโ at Labontes cabin, a BBQ restaurant located between the first and second peaks (at the base of the Ruby and Santiago chair lifts). Here you will find Adirondack chairs to chill out on. Have a BBQ sandwich while you enjoy the fresh air!
Hope to see you there some day!
Disclosure: Thank you very much to the wonderful team atย Vail Resortsย with whom I work to help promote their fabulous ski resorts. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
