S’mores Berries happened. All of the ingredients (4) were mise en place for something else and…. S’mores Berries happened. If you have fresh berries on hand then you must try this asap! Wouldn’t this recipe be perfect for summer picnics, BBQ’s & July 4th…all of the festive colors are represented. Red, white & blue! Do you have a heat gun? Get one of those too. I spent all a day experimenting with mine & now I’m hooked. I want to use it constantly! I know that traditional s’mores have chocolate & graham crackers. This is a riff on that. Without the chocolate & grahams. It’s so fun & empowering to heat marshmallows to 1000 degrees F & watch them get all melty & browned. Did I mention how good they taste?! Enjoy! This looks like a perfrect fruit dessert Marla! I love the times when I discover new recipes by accident! I’m sure most of the recipes we all know were developed that way. I’ve always wanted to have a heat gun, but couldn’t find one here yet. Envy you now!
Zerrin, when you can get your hands on a heat gun you will fall in love with it! Gotta admit it’s a bit scary to get used to….but the results are fabulous!!
I love this twist on s’mores, so perfect for summer parties!
Thanks Laura! I had a blast with this one…not to mention the sticky fingers afterwards 😉
Well this just screams summer in the biggest way! Love toasted marshmallows, although mine usually are just char-dipped right into the flame since I have no patience 🙂 pinned
Thanks Averie! I thought so too. Gotta love the simplicity of these kinds of desserts…char dipped mallows rock btw 😉
Your photos are such an inspiration to me! I’ve been reading your blog this year, and always enjoyed it. Just recently (very recently), I started my own blog- and I have a whole new respect for what you do on here. Your graphics, your photography, your set ups, I know how much work that is now! I love seeing your travel posts as well- I am living in Asia right now, so want to do more of my travel photos. I just need to get much, much better at taking them!
Hi Michelle, this was such a wonderfully sweet comment to wake up to! So happy that you found my blog this year. I really do have fun with each & every aspect of the shoot ~ all the parts you mentioned 🙂 Congrats on launching your new blog. My best advice is just try to shoot every day. No matter what the subject. There will be frustrating times & many ah haa moments. Before you know it you will end up shooting exactly what you set out to accomplish. Such a deeply rewarding experience! Good luck & please stop by to say hello often 🙂
I actually meant to say YEARS, not year 🙂 I probably read your blog for 3 years! Great advice. I try to play with my camera every day. . . looking forward to a 2 month holiday from work where I can really dig in.
Sounds like a great break! 2 month holiday with camera in hand 🙂
A fun dessert!
Cheers,
Rosa

S’mores berry recipe I want some more lol. This recipe looks really tasty. You have really nice pictures on this site. Also I am an author of a cooking eBook and I am happy I found this site. https://payhip.com/b/j6uQ
Marla, these look wonderful – pinning! Perfect for the fourth of July! Maybe, it’s just my laptop, but I noticed that when I try to pin a particular image directly from your posts, the pin button on that image is shifted outside of the image to the bottom and I can’t pin easily! 🙁 Again, maybe it’s just my laptop but see if you have the same issue too, just in case. 🙂
Hi Julia….thanks for letting me know. I’ll take a look at the pin button 🙂 Thanks for the pin & glad u like the recipe!
