Quaint, tucked away in a luxurious boutique hotel & mind blowing food…
I always tell you guys that I love my job. Adore it actually. I was recently invited to a delicious dinner at The Little Bar in the Lumière Hotel in my home town of Telluride, Colorado. A cool perk to being a food & lifestyle blogger…. invitations to indulge in great food at the best restaurants! The best part is sharing with you guys so you know where to go when you venture out.
I had never been to the Lumière or to the Little Bar for that matter. It’s a 10 minute walk from my home. Located just seconds away from the Mountain Village core. The hotel sits steps away from Lift 4. It’s a tad off the beaten path, but super easy to get to. I have friends who have discovered this gem & sing it’s praises every chance they get. Now I can too!
What I love about boutique hotels are their charming style and discerning characteristics. The Lumière Hotel has a intimate & luxurious reputation, a location to look into when planning a vacation to Telluride. The staff is super professional & very friendly. Always an important thing to me.
As soon as we walked in these blooms not only caught my eye, but they smelled amazing!
Whether a hotel guest or not, make it a priority to head over to The Little Bar whether for happy hour cocktails & appetizers or for a full on dinner. We enjoyed a selection of wonderful menu items. To start, the well seasoned, spiced olives were a treat. The homemade bread was delicious.
We ordered a super well valued & crisp Pinot Grigio. It went perfectly with our dinner choices.
We enjoyed one of The Little Bars signature cocktails as well, The Pamplemousse Martini. I always love the St. Germaine & grapefruit combo…add in a splash of Champagne & I’m smitten!
Chef Eamonn O’Hara is a seasoned pro & takes great care in sourcing the freshest ingredients. His dishes were bursting with flavor. Taking advantage of seasonal, local ingredients when possible.
Our starters were the Olathe Corn Soup & Roasted Local Beet Salad (the wedge of fresh goat cheese in the salad was stand out!)
Moving forward into entrees…the Grilled Organic Salmon was prepared perfectly with a crispy crust & flavorful Jalapeño, Cilantro, Lime Vinaigrette. A bright & fresh sauce.
Vegetarians or those craving a meatless dinner can dive onto the Local Vegetable Lasagna.
The locally sourced Chanterelles make this dish even more impressive. You will not leave the table hungry after feasting on this hearty pasta dish!
Dessert options were wonderful as well. This Creme Brûlée had us swooning. There’s nothing like cracking into a crisp sugar crust!
This Decadent Chocolate Cake had us smiling all the way home. Chocolate lovers, this one’s for you! If you visit Telluride, be sure to stop by for happy hour & dinner. The warm & cozy vibe will create everlasting memories!
