Zulu Queen Cocktail is a celebration in and of itself. Lively spirits combine is this bright cocktail. This is #6 in my Telluride Ski Runs Cocktail Series, perfect for aprés ski or a romantic Valentine’s dinner. Cheers! When I was in London a few months ago I got really into Campari. It’s super popular in Europe. That combined with with Chambord, St-Germain & ginger beer, make this drink a special treat! Campari is a secret mix of ingredients, the infusion of herbs, aromatic plants & fruit in alcohol and water. These last two being the recipe’s only known ingredients. Some say there are 20 or 60 ingredients in this spirit, but others list the ingredients at 80. All that makes it sound mysterious huh?! The color is vibrant & unmistakable. I picture a Zulu Queen drinking vibrant vermilion Campari. Chambord is an elegant black raspberry liqueur. St-Germaine is an unmistakable, fragrant elderflower liqueur. Blend all & top with ginger beer for a bright & sparkling touch. This drink is both refreshing & uplifting. Great after a long day on the slopes! Perfect for aprés ski gatherings. So who is the Zulu Queen anyways? This double black ski run is located at the Telluride Ski Resort, off of chair 6. To find it, ski down Giant Steps. You will cross a cat walk & will see the bump run on your right. You can head down the Zulu chute or access the Zulu Trees (or A to Z trees), the trees between Alais Alley and Silver Glade. Our local olympian, Gus Kenworthy talks about this run at OnTheSnow.com. Enjoy responsibly! xo [amd-zlrecipe-recipe:477] More cocktails to try: ]]>
