Video: Jackson Hole, Wyoming

You might have seen on Instagram that Sean and I were recently in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It was my first time ever to visit this iconic Wild West ski town. It was everything I hoped it would be and then some. Check out our video on the SNOW Magazine YouTube channel for all the details. While there, follow them for updates on the luxury ski lifestyle. The mountain resort (Teton Village) offers up a lively mix of rustic luxury and kick up your boots kind of fun. We stayed at the Four Seasons Jackson Hole and every detail was perfect! We enjoyed the skiing and our mountainside room couldn’t have been any closer to the slopes. The Town of Jackson, about 10 miles away is a must see for shopping, dining and the bar scene. It’s a place where the locals are super proud to call home. In town we stayed at the Wort Hotel, a perfect location where everything is walking distance. The Grand Teton National Park is only a few miles out of town and worth a peek as well. The Tetons are breathtaking! Stay tuned for a larger, more detailed blog post about this fabulous ski resort.

For Gorgeous Skin! Revitalift by L’Oreal

This post is NOT sponsored. I’m wearing no foundation or concealer.

There you have it ladies & gents. It’s part of my job to research the best beauty products out there and here’s my pick to get your skin looking great in 2020. I’ve read about the Revitalift products in all of the best magazines and done tons of research online. Hands down people are raving about this very well priced line of products by the beauty giant L’Oreal. Heaps of research has gone into these products that are well known for reducing fine lines, moisturizing with out being greasy, firming and brightening skin. I’ve been using it on my face, neck and chest now for a month and I saw results as early as a few days! I’ve been getting tons of compliments on my skin, so I just had to share all of this excitement with all of you.

Three essentials that I suggest you add to your regime are the Revitalift Triple Powered Moisturizer ($19.99) this is formulated with the big 3: Pro-Retinol, Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C. The Hyaluronic Acid Serum ($23.99) this glides on like silk and is absorbed quickly, use this morning and night. Hyaluronic Acid is used to plump the skin and visibly reduce wrinkles. Also, the Glycolic Acid Serum ($23.99) for the evening. This is known to resurface the skin to visibly reduce dark spots in just 2 weeks (I’ve seen these results.) The trifecta here is as great as you can get without a prescription. If you have sensitive skin you are in luck too, most of the products in this line are fragrance-free, they are all validated by dermatologists and for all skin types. The moisturizer comes with or without a light fragrance and the serums are fragrance free and all products are paraben free.

As you likely know (but reminders are always helpful) You need to wear sunscreen everyday rain or shine. The Revitalift line has this too, a broad spectrum SPF 25 ($13.59) that is great for normal daily use. On the mountain I wear a higher at least 40 SPF (I love this one by Supergoop!) when skiing, the refection of the snow is very harsh on the skin.

Winter days can be harsh on skin and my skiing habit means that my face is exposed to freezing temps and wind every day. This could (and has in the past) cause extreme dryness and irritated skin. No way is this a option or something I want to live with. It’s essential for all of us to stay well moisturized and protected from the harsh sun (even on those cloudy days.)

Feel like making your skin look gorgeous? The Revitalift line is waiting for you!

Baked Sweets and Treats

Dutch Speculaas Cookies with Peppermint Crunch Icing

You have probably had Speculaas or Speculoos cookies at some point. The popular brand you will see in the markets is Biscoff. Those are great and all, but making these homemade Dutch Speculaas Cookies with Peppermint Crunch Icing is way better! These are firm, gingerbread-like, spiced biscuits that are wonderful for dunking in coffee or hot cocoa. The almond meal in the dough adds a toasty flavor and snap. Traditionally from The Netherlands, these are also referred to as Dutch Windmill Cookies. No matter what you call them, I guarantee once you try some you will be hooked. The peppermint crunch icing makes them festive for the holidays, you can simply omit if you just want to savor the cookie in it’s purist form.

Holiday Shopping Guide: Beauty Gift Sets

I’ve always loved beauty gift sets. They are a great way to try new beauty lines and also a nice way to try more items from already familiar brands. First choose what category best fits the person you are shopping for , you can go with skin care, makeup, fragrance or beauty tools. Some lines will incorporate some of each. There are also great kits for the wee ones. I suggest you shop now as the popular kits sell out quickly. Through the years I have found so many of my favorite makeup colors, lotions, perfumes and facial products though these holiday kits. I love how this Diptyque set includes three Eau de toilette fragrances with their coordinate candles.

And here’s even more to choose from…
