Baked Sweets and Treats

Halloween Chocolate Monster Cookies

Halloween Monster Cookies go something like this. My sweet little 2nd grader was home from school feeling a bit under the weather. He was well enough to bake cookies though! These are my sons version of Monster Cookies. And he is mighty happy to share them with you…   Get your kids in the kitchen! MarlaMeridith.com   My son is totally obsessed with the candy/sugar area of the pantry. It’s way up high and he has no easy access to it whatsoever. If he did I would have a little monster on my hands. As soon as he woke up (not feeling good) he told me that we needed to have a baking day. Who am I to refuse that? He had me pull out all kinds of candy & sprinkles. The big question I had for him: Are we baking the candies into the cookies, decorating with them or both? His answer: decorating. I asked how we would make the decorations stick to the cookies. He answered….”with chocolate syrup mom, duh.” I love this little chef! He had this recipe mapped out for days I betcha!     Halloween Chocolate Monster Cookies | Have your kids decorate these tasty chocolate treats! My kiddos had a blast decorated these ~ my son dictating the “rules” Candy corn eyes, m&m & gumdrop mouths & of course the chocolate syrup glue. Want to give your kids a fun little baking project? Have them decorate Monster Cookies. Lay out all the decorations on sheet pans for less mess.   Halloween Chocolate Monster Cookies | Have your kids decorate these tasty chocolate treats!
