Meet Bo Meridith! This beautiful hound dog came into our lives last week. My vet texted me & said “Marla, you MUST take a look at these 2 hounds that came into the shelter last night” As soon as I saw this guys photo I fell in love and had to have him in our world! I ran to Second Chance Humane Society in Ridgway the very next morning to meet him….
Now we have not only one K-9 but TWO!!! Best thing ever. Bo came to us super scared as he was abandoned with another hound on top of a mesa here in CO. He was super skinny, scared, famished…yet loving and pure. He did not deserve to be abandoned. Thankfully my family is here to give him a lifetime of love! Moose is adoring his new brother. Each day they have a bond that gets stronger & stronger. He has taken to the kids, hubs & everyone he meets with happiness & love.
Bo (short for Beaufort) is a big bundle of joy! He’s about 3 years old and is likely a Foxhound. He came to us super shy, but his true personality is shining now. He’s a light hearted cuddle bear now that he has settled into life in our home. The #dogsoftelluride are a super special breed. They are all loving the fall here!
At this same time last year we adopted Moose. This guy rules our household…the sweetest Red Tick Coonhound blend ever! I grew up with dogs, but Moose was the first that was ever MY pup. I had to make sure we walked, fed, bathed & gave him all the love in the world. Growing up my folks were in charge of making sure our family dog essential needs were met. Having my own was always an important thing to me. I wanted my kids to grow up with this same unconditional love that I did.
People say that pets who are adopted know they have been rescued out of a scary fate. They are very loyal and loving, kind and grateful. These two certainly are!

Bo is the friendliest dog ever!!! He can’t get close enough to us. His a BIG cuddle pup. Moose & Bo are quickly becoming besties. Thank goodness!

Bless you a thousand million times from Australia!! Thank you for saving these two beautiful kids and giving them what I can plainly see is the *best* home in the world. We have two rescues as well and boy, it makes your heart feel glad to have these previously unloved and abused babies snuggle up for smooches and hugs. You are so right – they just know when they have been rescued. Ours run the house too . . . I just do the meals and laundry for them. (Beds in every room and their own sofa. LOL) x x x x
