Breakfast Cookie French Toast – Gluten Free

[donotprint]

Sometimes we need to show off our quirks. Allow me to welcome the weekend by admitting this: I know Breakfast Cookie French Toast is a little silly. This is one of those funky & delicious things I do often and could not resist sharing with you.

Given the chance I would add an egg to just about everything. From the basic scramble to oatmeal and frittatas, heck even over our salads. This family loves eggs. We love eggs with our eggs…….

Wild Mushroom Sauté with Bacon, Herbs and Cous Cous – Foraging in Telluride

[donotprint]

Wild mushrooms with bacon and herbs by Marla MeridithLast summer my awesome pal Chris proposed a wild mushroom hunt up in Lizard Head just outside Telluride. Since I never venture off piste the grand forage never happened. It was on my mind all year to get out there and do it. The day after we arrived this trip we made it happen. Mushroom hunting is a blast! Have you ever done it? It is amazing to hunt for your own food.

Great news….I will be regularly contributing to the Marcus Samuelsson blog. Please check out my Lemonade Cucumber Spa Popsicles over there.

Dessert

Honeydew Sherbet

[donotprint]

Have you guys ever had ice milk or sherbet?  It is ice cream’s lighter cousin. Picture sorbet meets ice cream.

While perplexed if I should name this recipe ice milk or shebert…..I concluded that both would do. Sherbet is known to have more sugar than ice cream. This recipe is stevia sweetened and sugar free. With a little milk (your choice what kind) and some ripe honeydew this little treat is pretty, cooling and happy.

Also we have a winner for the Stonyfield Summer in a Box giveaway….
