There’s been lots of partying, hard workouts & and end of summer celebrations around here. My Kale Lemonade is detoxing (needed here) & tastes wonderful! Vegan, gluten free & Paleo friendly. This drink is for everyone!
I head off to the Italian Dolomites this week with my favorite trekking guides from Ryder-Walker. I’ve been training hard for a week of great outdoor adventures & I’m certain lots of amazing food & wine! To make sure I’m in tip top shape I’m sucking down juices like this & eating super healthy.
I was on a long & strenuous mountain bike ride today & I was so excited to get home to make this juice. I had plenty of water out there but all I wanted was this quenching green drink.
You can go two ways here. I have a high powered blender (not a juicer) You can use either. Do you crave a juice or smoothie?
The difference between the smoothie and the juice is that the latter is strained. So if you like a thicker consistency than the blended smoothie is for you. You will end up with 20 ounces in the smoothie & 8 ounces of you juice. Natural sweetness comes from adding two apples to the mix. If you prefer your drink sweeter then add some honey, maple syrup or agave to the mix. Sweeten to taste. I like mine with just the sweetness from the apples.
