Perfect homemade pretzel dough is wrapped around the cocktail dogs, brushed with egg yolk & dusted with coarse salt.
They don’t take long to assemble (prepare the dough ahead of time) & they are the ultimate crowd pleaser.

Grilled Lit’l Smokies Mac ‘n Cheese. In this mac ‘n cheese I grilled the little dogs first. It really adds to the flavor when you do that!
Then I made a simple cheesy sauce with shredded cheddar & mozzarella & half & half.
Dreamy I know!

Oh I remember LOVING lit’l smokies when I was a kid. I was recently reminded of them when trying to come up with ideas for mini foods for a Doll themed party for my daughter. I wish I had seen these two awesome recipes. Love how simple your mac and cheese sauce is to make.
